Privacy Policy for the Arizona Assistive Technology Exchange (ATEX):

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site and fill out a form to place or respond to an ad.

When registering on our site, as appropriate, you will be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address or phone number. Entering your email address (if applicable) and mailing address are optional but you must enter a name and choose a way (phone or email) to be contacted about your ad or inquiry.  Users are however required to register in order to place an ad (s) or to contact a lister on the site.  You may, however, visit our site anonymously to review ads. 

Users of the ATEX can make corrections or updates to their personal account information at any time by logging into the “my account” screen or by contacting ATEX program staff.   

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

• To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs).
• To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs).
• To process transactions.  We use the information provided to assist users in getting connected with one another to facilitate the reutilization of AT and/or ads/items listed on the site. 
• To send periodic emails. The email address you provide will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining directly to your ad (s) or your inquires about items listed on the ATEX.

Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from or stop receiving emails or communications from the ATEX all you need to do is stop using the site, remove your email address in the “my account screen” and/or remove your ad (s) from the ATEX.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you access your personal information. Access to information stored by the ATEX website host is strictly limited to authorized users.  

ATEX Host (AgoraNet) Privacy Information:

Host will protect to the best of its ability the confidentiality of any files and electronic mail stored on or exchanged over the system, except as may be necessary to provide the requested Internet services, or as may be necessary to preserve the security and proper operation of Host's system, or to protect Host's rights or property. Host, except as otherwise provided for in this Agreement or as required by law, will use its best efforts to avoid disclosing the contents of private electronic mail to anyone other than addressees, authorized recipients, or those to whom such disclosure is necessary to assure forwarding or delivery. User acknowledges that no system on the Internet can be guaranteed safe from unauthorized intrusion, and therefore any confidential information stored on or transmitted through Host's system is stored or transmitted at User's own risk.

Do we (AzTAP) disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the service requested. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor/user information may be provided to other parties for other uses.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance:  

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 18 years of age. Our website and its services are all directed to people who are at least 18 years of age or older.
